AGE : A candidate must be above 21 (twenty one) years and below 32 (thirty two) years as on 01.05.2012. The Upper age limit relaxable by 5 (five) years in case of SC, ST, S E B C , Ex- Serviceman and Woman candidates and 10 (ten) years in case of PH Candidates. In case of Ex- servicemen, the age relaxation will be considered as per Orissa Ex-Servicemen (Recruitment to state civil Services and posts) Rules, 1985.

2TRAINING STIPEND

For Graduate Engineer Trainees and Management Trainees:

The GETs & MTs shall be paid a consolidated stipend of Rs.18,000/- per month plus medical allowance at a fixed rate of Rs.200/- per month and an additional amount of Rs.1000/- per month shall be paid to trainees if posted at Balimela, Mukhiguda, Khatiguda and Potteru as Remote Area Allowance.

For Diploma Engineer Trainees:

The DETs shall be paid a consolidated stipend of Rs.12,000/- per month plus medical allowance at a fixed rate of Rs.200/- per month and an additional amount of Rs.1000/- per month shall be paid to trainees if posted at Balimela, Mukhiguda, Khatiguda and Potteru as Remote Area Allowance.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION

GET Full time Degree in Electrical Engineering/ Electrical & Electronics Engineering  
(Ele.) from recognized University/Institution, approved by AICTE with a minimum of  
  60 % marks in aggregate or AMIE in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of  
  50 % marks in aggregate.                
     
  Full time Degree in Mechanical Engineering from recognised University /  
GET Institution, approved by AICTE with a minimum of 60 % marks in aggregate or  
AMIE in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 50 % marks in aggregate.

GET Full time Degree in Civil Engineering from recognized University/Institution,  
(Civil) approved by AI C TE with a minimum of 60 % marks in aggregate or AMIE in

MT Post-Graduate Degree/ Diploma of Two years(Full time) duration in personnel  
(HRD) Management/ Industrial Relations & welfare/ HRD/ HRM/ PM & IR/ MBA with  
  specialisation in HRD or Personnel Management from recognised institute of  
  repute with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate.        
     
  Degree in any discipline with ACA/AICWA/MBA(Finance) from XLRI, IIMS or  
MT XIMB for candidates belonging to General and SEBC category. For    
candidates belonging to SC & ST category, the minimum    
(Fin)    
qualification  is  Degree  in  any  discipline  with  MBA(Finance)  from  a  
   
  University or Institution  of repute.              
     
DET Full time Diploma in Electrical Engineering / Electrical & Electronics Engineering  
(Ele.) from recognized University/ Institution/ State Council of Technical Education  
  with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate.        
                     
DET Full time Diploma   in Civil Engineering from recognized

3Candidates awaiting final results may apply. However they are required to produce original mark sheet at the time of selection test/interview.

The aggregate marks as mentioned in the final mark sheet will be taken into account for calculating the percentage of marks.

RELAXATION IN ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION

In all of the above disciplines, the minimum percentage of marks required is 50 % for SC & ST candidates.

SCALE OF PAY (PAY BAND) & TRAINING PERIOD

For Graduate Engineer Trainees and Management Trainees:

The training will be for a period of 1 (one) year. On successful completion of the training, the candidates will be appointed as Assistant Manager (E-3 Grade) in the respective cadre on probation for 1 (one) year and placed in the scale of Rs 9300-34800 plus Grade Pay Rs. 4600/- with other allowances as per OHPC Rules.

For Diploma Engineer Trainees:

The training will be for a period of 1 (one) year. On successful completion of the training, the candidates will be appointed as Junior Manager (E-2 Grade) in the respective cadre on probation for 1 (one) year and placed in the scale of Rs 9300-34800 plus Grade Pay Rs. 4200/- with other allowances as per OHPC Rules.

The trainees (GET, MT & DET) during the training period may be terminated in the event his/her performance during the period is not found to be satisfactory. On successful completion of training, he/she will be on probation for a period of one year.

SERVICE AGREEMENT BOND

The selected GET/MT candidates will be required to execute a service agreement bond of Rs. 2,00,000/- to serve the company for at least 3 years from the date of joining. The selected DET candidates will be required to execute a service agreement bond of Rs. 1,25,000/- to serve the company for at least 3 years from the date of joining.

SELECTION PROCEDURE

Eligible candidate will be called for written test comprising multiple choice questions from

(i) General Aptitude (fifty questions) (ii) Subject Knowledge (one hundred questions) to be conducted at Bhubaneswar. There shall be negative marking @ 0.25 for every wrong answer. Candidates qualifying in the written test shall be called for the personal interview at Bhubaneswar. Both the written test for GETs/ MTs and DETs shall be held on the same date and time.

RESERVATION

Reservation of posts will be as per the Odisha Reservation of Vacancies Act and other applicable Acts and Rules. Physically handicapped candidates may apply with copy of requisite Medical Certificate in proof of their type & extent of disability for consideration as per Rules. Ex-Servicemen are required to attach copy of Discharge Certificate issued by Commanding Officer of the Unit last served.

Concession meant for SC, ST and SEBC by birth are admissible to the Scheduled Castes, Schedules Tribes and Socially and Educationally Backward Classes of Odisha only.

Candidates   belonging   to    SEBC    category   shall    submit    their    SEBC    certificate validated/ renewed by the competent authority in the current calendar year, failing which they shall be treated as General category candidates.

OTHER CONDITIONS

  1. a) Mere fulfilling the eligibility criteria does not entitle the candidates to be called for written test and / or interview.
  1. b) In order to restrict the number of candidates to be called for written test/interview, the Management reserves the right to raise the eligibility standards.
  1. c) OHPC reserves the right to cancel/ restrict/ enlarge/ modify/ alter the recruitment process, if need so arises, without issuing any further notice or assigning any reason whatsoever.
  2. d) Management reserves the right not to fill some/ any/ all the positions so advertised without assigning any reason thereof.
  1. e) In case of non-availability or insufficient number of eligible/suitable women candidate(s) belonging to any particular category, the vacancies or the remaining vacancies reserved for women candidate(s) of that category shall be filled up by male candidate(s) of the same category.
  1. f) A pass in Odia Language test equivalent to ME standard is essential. Alternatively the candidate has to pass the requisite language test in Odia within time-period to be prescribed.
  1. g) Where ever CGPA/OGPA or letter grade in a degree is awarded; equivalent percentage of marks should be indicated in the application form as per norms adopted by the University/ Institute.
  2. h) Only SC/ST candidates called for written test will be reimbursed journey expenses  (to and fro) by 2nd Class Railway / Bus by the shortest route on production of copy of the ticket.

5 i) Candidates working in State/ Central Government/ PSUs should forward their applications through proper channel or shall produce a No Objection Certificate (NOC) at the time of personal interview.

  1. j) The E-mail ID entered in the online application form must remain valid for at least next one year. All future correspondences will be sent via E-mail only.
  1. k) The candidate finally selected should conform to the company’s medical standards. l) Applications received after due date or incomplete applications or applications of  ineligible candidates will be rejected outright without any further correspondence.
  1. m) OHPC takes no responsibility for any delay or loss of any communication in postal transit. No request in this regard will be entertained.
  1. n) Canvassing in any form will disqualify the candidate.

PROCEDURE TO APPLY

a) The applicants are to apply through “ON LINE APPLICATION REGISTRATION SYSTEM” through the Website www.ohpcltd.com of OHPC. The Website will be open from 28.05.2012 to 16.06.2012. After filling up the ON-LINE application; Candidate is required to download the application form with unique registration number & take a print out of the same in A4 size paper and has to duly sign in the print copy of the on line application form in the space provided. Print out of the application along with Two recent passport size colour photographs (one to be signed on the front & pasted in the form and the other to be enclosed) & necessary documents shall have to be sent through by ordinary post in an envelope superscribing ‘APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF GET / MT / DET’

(as applicable) to Post Box No.2752,GPO, Kolkata-1 so as to reach on or before the last date i.e 23.06.2012.Application received after last date of receipt, due to postal delay or for any other reasons, shall not be considered.

  1. b) Before applying on line, candidate has to make a non-refundable A/C payee Demand Draft (DD) for Rs.350/- (not applicable for SC, ST and PH) drawn in favour of Odisha Hydro Power Corporation Limited, payable at Bhubaneswar. The candidate has to fill in the details of Demand Draft while applying on line. The candidate is required to write his/her name, date of birth and contact Telephone/Mobile No. on the reverse of the Demand Draft before sending along with application form.
  1. c) The application form has to be enclosed with self attested, Visible & clear photocopy of the following documents.

i)    Document in support of date of Birth proof/ Matriculation certificate.
