1.Applications are invited by the Commission for the below mentioned posts. The last date for receipt of applications in the office of the Commission is 30.08.2012. Casa J.D. Fernandes Stationery Supplier, Printers & Book Binders, Opposite Municipal Garden, Panaji, are authorized to sell the prescribed application form @ Rs. 20/- per set. The Commission does not take the responsibility of supplying application forms by post. For detailed information, please see the instructions supplied with the application form. Candidate can also download and use the application form available at GPSC website.

2. Incomplete applications in any manner are liable to be rejected summarily by the Commission.

3. “The upper age limit shown against each post is relaxable upto 5 years for the candidates belonging to SC/ST, upto 3 years for candidates belonging to OBC, upto 5 years (total 10 years for SC/ST & 8 years for OBC in respect of posts reserved for them) to blind, deaf-mute and orthopedically handicapped person and upto 5 years for CFF. Age is also relaxable for Government Servants upto 5 years as per the instructions issued by the Government from time to time”.

4. In case of non-availability of suitable candidates with the knowledge of Konkani, this requirement may be relaxed in case of below mentioned posts.

5. The Commission will draw a panel of candidates, which will remain valid for a period of one year.

6. Prescribed EQs are minimum & mere possession of same does not entitle the candidates to be called for interview. Where number of applications received is large, the Commission will short list the candidates to be called for interview.

I. GOA MEDICAL COLLEGE

1. Lecturer in Medicine …..1 post

Scale of Pay: Rs. 15,600-39,100+6,600/-

Age: Not exceeding 45 years

Educational & Other Qualifications:-

Essential: (i) A recognised Medical qualification included in the First or the Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in Section 13 (3) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. (ii) Post Graduate degree qualification in the speciality concerned or equivalent. (iii) At least 3 years teaching experience in the concerned speciality as Senior Resident/Registrar/Tutor/Demonstrator in a Medical College/Teaching Institution. (iv) Knowledge of Konkani. Desirable: Knowledge of Marathi

2. Assistant Lecturer in Paediatrics ……1 post (resvd for OBC)

Scale of Pay: Rs. 15,600-39,100+5,400/-

Age: Not exceeding 40 years

Educational & Other Qualifications:-

Essential: (i) A recognised Medical qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than Licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in sub- section (3) of Section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. (ii) Knowledge of Konkani. Desirable: (i) Registered for Post-Graduate Degree in concerned speciality. (ii) Knowledge of Marathi.

II. DIRECTORATE OF HEALTH SERVICES

3. Public Health Dentist …… 8 posts (4 resvd for OBC, 1 resvd for PH and 1 resvd for ST)

Scale of Pay: Rs. 15,600-39,100+5,400/-

Age: Not exceeding 40 years

Educational & Other Qualifications:-

Essential: (i) A degree qualification included in Part I or Part II of the schedule to the Dentist Act, 1948 (16 of 1948). (ii) Knowledge of Konkani.

Desirable: (i) Knowledge of Marathi.

4. Assistant Pharmaceutical Chemist …… 1 post

Scale of Pay: Rs. 9,300-34,800+4,200/-

Age: Not exceeding 40 years

Educational & Other Qualifications:-

Essential: 1) Graduate in Pharmacy and a registered Pharmacist under the Pharmacy Act, 1948 with 3 years experience: i) in a hospital pharmacy / Government Medical Store in planning the requirements of drugs/medicines, monitoring the distribution/consumption of drugs, manufacturing stock solutions and galenical preparations; OR ii) in a pharmaceutical industry engaged in the manufacturing and testing of drugs; OR iii) in a recognised testing laboratory under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940, engaged in the testing of drugs; OR iv) in a Drugs Controller Office engaged in dealing with problems connected with standard of drugs. 2) Knowledge of Konkani.

Desirable: Knowledge or Marathi.

III. DIRECTORATE OF HIGHER EDUCATION

5. Assistant Professor in Commerce ..….. 2 posts (resvd for ST) (2nd time)

Scale of pay: Rs. 15600-39100+GP 6000/-

Age: Not exceeding 40 years

Educational & Other Qualifications:-

Essential: (i) Good Academic record with at least 55% of marks or equivalent grade at Master’s Degree level in the relevant subject from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from a foreign University. (ii) National Eligibility Test (NET)/State Level Eligibility Test (SET) shall remain the compulsory requirement for appointment as Assistant Professor. Provided, however, that candidates, who are or have been awarded Ph.D. degree in compliance of the “University Grants Commission (minimum standards and procedure for award of Ph.D. Degree), Regulation 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Colleges”. (iii) Knowledge of Konkani. Desirable: (i) Ph.D. or M.Phil in the relevant subject. (ii) Knowledge of Marathi.

IV. DIRECTORATE OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

6. Software Engineer ….. 1 post (3rd time)

Scale of Pay: Rs. 9300-34800+4600/-

Age: Not exceeding 40 years

Educational & Other Qualifications:-

Essential: (i) Degree in Engineering/Technology (Computer Science/Electronics and Telecommunications/Information Technology) or Master in Computer Applications or equivalent. (ii) Knowledge of Konkani.

Desirable: Knowledge of Marathi.
